Aisha R. Shabazz, LCSW | Therapist & Owner of In Real Time Wellness

Therapy.

It’s more than just having someone to talk to about your day, your problems, your worries, and your dreams. Therapy can provide relief from the aspects of life that are dragging you down, that are unfulfilling.

Anxiety.

Feeling wound up and overwhelmed by almost everything. The idea of answering the question “How was your day?” is too heavy to answer. Tossing and turning through the night as your to-do list runs through your head like headlines on the news. Sound familiar? It could be anxiety. The good thing is relief can be achieved.

Life Transitions.

New job. New friendship. New relationship. New Baby. Relocating to a new city. Career Shift. Change can feel good, when you can handle it gracefully. But what happens when change is abrupt, causes a disruption, or leaves you feeling confused? Parent’s Divorce. Death of a loved one. Work Layoff. Life is always in transition. Let’s work together to figure out how you can embrace life’s changes with a bit more ease.

Moving Forward.

Feeling stuck in the same routine? Learning how to become unstuck and moving forward can take some time, but once it’s mastered, the future looks a little less constrictive and much more carefree.

What to Expect

FREE 15 minute Consultation

During this 15 minute, I will learn more about you and what’s currently happening in your life. Together we will discuss if therapy would be a good option for you. Call 267-428-7839 for a free 15 minute consultation.

Discuss Payment Options

Most people will opt to use their health insurance to cover a small portion of the total cost of their therapy sessions.

If you prefer to use your health insurance, we will need to confirm with your insurance company that I am an “In-Network” provider.

If I don’t currently take your insurance, you might be able to use “Out of Network” Benefits.

If you don’t currently have insurance, you can pay the “out-of-pocket rate”.

“Sliding Scale” is also available for those who have an active Medicaid plan outside of Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Schedule an Appointment

By the end of the consultation call, you can choose a date for your first appointment, and afterwards you can use SimplePractice, the confidential HIPAA-compliant online scheduling portal which allows you to pay co-pays & therapy fees, and schedule appointments 24/7.

Complete Intake Forms

If you complete the intake forms prior to your first appointment, we will have more time to start working towards establishing what your concerns are and how we can work together to help you manage your anxiety, maintain balance, and thrive in your life.

Attend your appointment

During your first appointment, we will discuss goals that you want to work towards during therapy.

We will also determine how we will know when you are where you want to be in relationship to your anxiety.

Establish an ongoing appointment schedule

Depending on your schedule and appointment availability, we can discuss how frequently therapy would need to occur, in order for you to achieve the outcome you want. In my experience, weekly therapy sessions are the most helpful to start and as things progress in a positive direction, bi-weekly sessions are more realistic.

Do you take insurance?

Currently, I am considered an ‘Out of Network’ provider. Please confirm with your insurance company, to determine if you currently have ‘Out of Network’ benefits for mental health treatment.

What if I don’t have insurance?

You can receive therapy whether you have insurance or not. My current rate is $150 for individual sessions, with the option of sliding scale for individuals who have current Medicaid benefits outside of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Some people opt to not use their insurance as a means to keep their information confidential and unknown to their employer and/or the primary insurance holder.

Will I be in therapy forever?

No, you will not be in therapy forever. I believe that therapy is helpful as long as you are growing and changing as a result of implementing the tools and techniques that are discussed in session. If you and I both do our jobs, you will not be in therapy forever.
